Dear Family and Friends,
As most of you know, I am dedicated to a cause that has touched many of us…fighting Heart Diseases and Stroke.
My mom is a fearless fighter who is a survivor of heart disease and breast cancer. It took something tragic to happen for her to be proactive about her heart disease. She had been so reactive to cancer and wasn't as worried about her heart as she should have been. (Pictured is us, just before jumping out of an airplane on my 24th birthday while raising awareness for ALS)
Go Red For Women – and its symbolic Red Dress, is the American Heart Association’s movement to create awareness surrounding America’s #1 and #5 killers of women - heart disease and stroke.
Using my passion - to not only raise awareness but raise funds, I’ll be participating in the Capital Area Go Red For Women campaign in honor of all women affected by heart disease or stroke. My personal goal is to raise $2,000 from donors like you which will be used for critical cardiovascular disease research, advocacy efforts and education.
Past researchers funded by the AHA developed the stint, pacemaker, heart valves and so much more! Imagine what lifesaving technologies are around the corner because of donors like you!
I hope you will consider making a 100% tax deductible donation. Thank you for your support. Together we will make a difference!
From the heart,
Chelsea
